Time for a cool chiange

Anyone who has seen my Facebook status already knows about my new hair cut.

I had attended a mother/daughter fashion show that our stake (LDS church) had put on showing cute modest clothing and the possibility of still being in style.  One of the things they do at these is a make over for a couple of young women.  I thought, "I could use a make over!" 
Bill and I then cruised around the Living Lightly Fair and he bought me that groovy butterfly necklace I'm wearing in the picture made of blown glass. 

Then we headed down to Indy to do some needed shopping at Trader Joes and Whole Foods and then take in a little dinner.  I have a friend who swears by Fantastic Sams for hair care, so I popped into one to see if I could get that new look I was wishing for earlier in the day.  They couldn't get me in for over an hour.  We walked around the strip mall and checked out a couple of shops.  One of them happened to be a wig/hair paraphernalia shop with a teeny tiny little box set up in the corner where I saw someone cutting hair.  We ventured back and I was more than a little concerned and thought that I would NOT get my hair cut here! 

A little Korean lady approached me from the box and took a dried lock of my hair in her hand and said, "You need help". 

 "Yes" was my witty reply. 

 "You wait 20 minutes while I finish this lady and I help you...OK?" 

"OK"

She was amazing.  We had to haggle a bit over coloring.  She wanted to put down a base color before highlighting.  I don't want to worry about roots and the grey doesn't bother me, finally I convinced her to just highlight.  She did inform me that her way was better, but considering I am low maintenance and go in for a cut annually, I think my way is better long term.
