There's some sort of magic when the family is gathered around the table, Christmas music is playing in the background, and 1/4 ton candy is strewn across the table!
It is an Inman family tradition to build ginger bread houses. But we usually use graham crackers. This year I decided to make my own gingerbread kits!
It was so easy, I wonder why I hadn't before.... (for the great
recipe and templates - go
here).
We paired off and made our masterpieces for Family Night on Monday. Aurora and Danni had such a cute little cottage going...key word here: had.
It ended up falling in, but that's OK, it gave us some yummy stuff to snack on!
Eve and Tawny learned from Aurora and Danni and put their roof on the next day.
David and Harrison were up very very late. Harrison had made the gingerbread, and he made some unique changes, like posts and sills. David went to the store and bought some extra decorations.
Bill and I still have yet to put on the finishing touches, but I like it!
These were so easy to make, so I did another batch of minis the next day - we gave them away as gifts. Danni decorated this one.

Maybe I'll make my own gingerbread house next year...it's just so much easier buying a Wilton kit. Great houses. I love the teamwork!
Great houses. It looks like you may have a budding architect or two :)
Hope you have a blessed and very Merry Christmas! ♥ HUGS ♥
