cakes and silhouettes

It's Thursday again, weigh in day - and guess what? 2 more pounds down! I was a little worried because the twins brought home these adorable cakes last night from Young Women's .

The picture really doesn't do them justice, one because we nibbled a bit on them last night (the reason for my weigh in concern) and two because I rushed taking this pic so Bill could take his camera and go, so it's all blurry. But hopefully you can get the gist of their cute little masterpieces!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of sitting behind a truck at a red light with those sophisticated profile silhouettes of a woman lounging in a half sitting position. You know the ones, like the chrome decor on the mudflaps of truckers- the ones that must be in homage to their wive's and/or girlfriend's beautiful physique ...if you still don't know what I'm referring to, then go here and see.

I tend to blush when I see those and hope my teenage boys have somehow miraculously been spared from this sight.

So as I was sitting there I wondered how my physique was transfer onto one of those. I'm not an artist, so I can't draw it. The only artist I really know would not touch this assignment with a ten foot brush, I'm sure (I didn't ask him). So I will have to describe it to you, close your eyes and imagine this:

From top;

Hair would still be about that length, but unkempt and more in the shape of a frizball (it's spring and humid:-(

Upper torso, well not as perky and voluptuous, in fact my continents have moved closer to the equator, if you know what I mean.

That brings us to the waist. It's definitely not concave, not even flat...we might go as far as to say it's on the pudgy side, especially if I'm folding in half like that.

Appendages, well they're not stick thin - but I think they're a little shapely, even toned, on some parts. But they would be beefy enough to hold up the rest of me- that's for sure!

So basically we're looking at a blob type shape with brawny arms and legs and a frizz bomb on top.

Think the truckers will buy it?

I think you should totally market flaps with your silhouette on them. You could call them "Mom Mud Flaps" and soon it will be the cool thing for all moms to have on their cars. What better way to remind us about the wonderful children who helped our bodies be transformed from the trucker style than a real mom on a mud flap? It's genius!

And great job on the weight loss, by the way. Before long, you can be the model for the truck one, too. ;)

It cracks me up that you would even "daydream" about what you would look like on a mudflap! Seriously, that's pretty darn funny!

Good job on the weight loss! Keep it up!
