Another child has flown the nest.

There's my little girl, peddling her way to college.  Well she didn't ride her bike to Bloomington, Bill drove her.  She choose this mint green groovy cruiser as her transportation of choice out at IU, fun bike!  We decked it out with a cute basket.
She's gone.  It's so strange.   I have worked hard to raise independent children who should be able to live on their own and thrive with very little homesickness creeping in- and it seems as though they were made to live out in the big bad world on their own.  But I still have a little hole that is creating a dull ache.  It happened when David left, and it's there again today.
Tawny had actually earned her Young Woman medallion a while ago, but due to lost book, lethargy, and overall dis-organization it took until the last Sunday in her home ward to receive it.  The young Woman's president had her say a few words about earning it and hopefully it inspired not only the other young women in there (including her sisters) but also acted as a reminder of who she is and what her aspirations are as she heads out to IU.
Bill said last night, "Well now we're down to the last 3...plus 2."  The first 5 kids have always been a grouping in - and -unto themselves, Danni and Enoch are extra treats, like dessert at the end of a wonderful meal.

Just a couple of side notes:
Love the job (I think I mentioned that before...)
Started Cycle 2 of HCG yesterday - have had fun on the splurging stage, must be ready for the 500 cal stage starting tomorrow!

I can't even imagine sending my kids away to college. That still feels so impossible to me. If anyone is ready to go though - it's your girl!!

I'm so glad to hear that you're loving your job!

I love that your kids fall into "groupings." I think Dani and Enoch are beautiful desserts!

Good luck with your second cycle!
