So proud of Tawny!

I just want to brag on Tawny for a blog (or two).

Tawny has made this senior trip on her own. She has applied to the colleges, for the grants and scholarships, dorm placement, and made any calls to fix problems herself. She wrote a speech and auditioned for commencement speaker without us even knowing until it was over – and she was chosen! She has participated in Mayor's youth counsel, been student counsel president, Laurel president (church callings are as time consuming or even more so than the other stuff), and various other clubs and activities throughout the school year. She woke early every school day and drove to seminary class at 6:15 with her brother and sisters. She has performed in many band and ensemble competitions and I don't think she ever scored lower than a 'I' (the best!). She has babysat almost every Friday night for at least one family, sometimes two.
Tawny is beautiful, talented, smart, and able to accomplish anything she sets out to do.

I find that I’m so busy trying to lecture her – prepare her for her flight out of the nest - that I don’t take time to tell her how impressed I am with all she does.

We’ll be celebrating Tawny’s High School career and admission into IU on June 12th from 4:00 – 7:00, come on by!
