Living in an old home affords many opportunities to 're-do'. When we moved in I had a very negative attitude about our sink and cabinets under it. After 2 1/2 years I started appreciating the old porcelain much more, but still didn't like the cabinets. I wish I had a good 'before' picture, but one of my children (we'll call him 'David' to protect the innocent) didn't bother to change the dead batteries out of the camera, so I had to charge them. So this picture, actually a 'before' picture I took when I was doing apples, but never got around to blogging about them...anyway, this is the best picture I have of the cabinets before I got a hold of the paints....
Bill gets a little apprehensive when I decide to do a 'project' (a.k.a. - something that very well may turn into a long drawn out failure at the end because I don't like following instructions, or think I don't need all the parts, or I just fall in hate with it half way through and leave it). He walked in yesterday and comment lightly (a.k.a. nothing offensive - yet obviously not impressive either). After a bit he did claim it was growing on him. It's growing on me too. It came with the 'wings" (that's what they remind me of, I was an Air Force brat and the pilots had them on their jumpers). Anyway, one project down, I still have the paints out, anyone want something done in plaid?
