First the apple is carefully chosen...
Then it is pitched....
then it's batter up...
Everyone stares in awe as the tiny pieces of apple spray everywhere...
the first base players were on top of the game....
it's important to remove an rotten apple pieces out of hair....
or off of your entire person...
rests are needed now and then.....

Thanks to Tawny who took the pictures! She did play, but we were so wrapped up in the game that we forgot to get some of her:-( David attends a YSA family night, so he was sad to have missed our traditional game of Apple Shmear (although played curiously close to the elections, the two have nothing to do with each other...)
