I am now making our shampoo and toothpaste. I have been doing it for a couple of weeks now and I am enjoying my homemade replacements. The kids - on the other hand - are adding water to old bottles trying to get them to last just a little bit longer, and squeezing out old toothpaste tubes completely dry. They will either have to come around or start buying their own soon. 
I just love these precious moments!

You know what? I would actually really love your recipe for the laundry detergent. I'm finding my Nicholas to have super sensitive skin and I think making my own detergent would allow me to have more control over what touches him.
You can pretty much make anything these days. Chapstick, shampoo, hand salve, you name it and there's a recipe out there. I say go for it!
