Week 32

I have tried to share everything along my journey to achieve optimal health and fitness. But I inadvertently forgot something, something very important. Back at the beginning Bill gave me a blessing, and I was told to give greater priority to my scripture study and prayers. That is as much of my program as the hot sips, liquid fasts and exercises.

I once heard that the tree pose was indicative of the balance we have in life. It's easier to hold the pose when our lives are in balance. I picture my life having segregated areas, the physical, the spiritual, the emotional, the mental. In order to achieve balance I need all these areas to balance out each other. When I don't take care of one of these areas my life gets wobbly and out of control in all areas. For example~ If I get lax in my scripture study, then I tend to lose my patience easier with the kids, that in turn makes me not like myself very well, and then I over indulge in food, then my dislike turns to loathing and I don't feel like being loved by anyone, not even my poor husband who has seen this pattern and still stays by my side until I get some control again. The only way to truly get control - or my balance- is to hunker down and do some self assessment and see what area cause the initial imbalance. It's never easy- getting back momentum takes work! I have been a little out of balance through October, but I'm now starting to get back some my impetus. I had to really 'kick it' though. It's been 32 weeks today since I started all this and I have lost 55.6 pounds.
Bill wanted me to get together some information for some friends. I'm going to put some random recipes and information down for them.
The first ~ details of our hot sip:
This makes enough for 1 person: Boil 1 quart of water for 5 minutes. add 1/2 tsp of Fennel & Coriander, and 1/4 tsp of Ginger & Tarragon and let that sit for 5 minutes. Then poor into thermos and sip throughout the day. Drink more when you're thirsty.
Second~ rice crispy bars:
(Recipe from Christina Pirello's Cooking the Whole Foods Way)
In a pot on the stove over med/low heat mix 1 C brown rice syrup (you can get this at the Downtown Farmstand in Muncie - or Whole Foods Market carries it as well) 1/2 C nut butter (I use peanut butter, but almond or any kind will work), 1/2 C chocolate chips (or carob chips - don't use 'junk chips'!) stir this until it's all melted together and creamy. Turn off heat and add 3 C Crispy rice cereal - stir until coated. Transfer into a casserole dish, let firm up a bit and cut and enjoy!
Third~ Information on Hyland's Bioplasma: You could go here and read reviews plus purchase it at a fraction of the cost of our local health food store. I got this quote: "Bioplasma is one of those rare nutritional supplements and homeopathic remedies that is safe for virtually anyone, regardless of age, sex, or condition.
Bioplasma works to help maintain an appropriate balance within the cells of the body. Well-nourished cells provide us with the building blocks of health - chemically, energetically and beyond."
from here.
I'm not sure why it works, but it does! Anyone I hear about getting a broken bone I suggest this first! It also helps with muscles strains, aches, ligament, pulled anythings....I've used it for teething with the babies, and a placebo when anyone gets a boo boo. My cousin, Devri, and her family could keep this company in business;-)

I go in today to see the Doctor, I hope he says... no more cast! I actually did this. I think this is why I didn't have to get the surgery, and even thought it has been a long 4 months, I agree, it helped! thanks

Girl, once I get this cast off, I am going to start walking and hopefully someday with with ortho's approval, run again. I can't wait.. I love that you have lost so much, you are a great inspiration to me. Ofa Atu!
