When I was going through the 570 photos (no joke) taken this weekend I had to do a double take on the faces of Bill and Harrison shooting the sling shot. They were aiming at water bottles - no water bottles were hurt during the filming:-)The next morning Bill was able to take the van in. He thought our transmission was shot (for the third time...). It ended up being a tire problem. We went to Tire Barn in Muncie a week ago to get some tires we had from another vehicle put on our van after they assured us the tires were fine. yeah right! So then we headed out to Brown County State Park!We had a sign like this not far from our home in Colorado. We didn't know they could be green! They were usually red (high) and sometimes orange (moderate).I was totally amazed with Danni's ability to keep up on the hike, we hiked over 3 miles, and a lot of the trails were 'rugged'. (no we didn't get lost, much to the kids' dismay) She never once complained, asked to rest or be carried. Enoch also was perfect, he didn't fuss at all!The kids got to play Tarzan for a bit with a vine they found hanging down! The head water to Ogle lake was so refreshing. Danni didn't hear that they weren't supposed to drink the water until it was too late - no parasites yet!
After that exhausting hike the kids played at the playground...then we walked around Nashville and got some very yummy ice cream...then we found a YMCA to get cleaned up at and went to the Indian Heritage Art show (IHA) that Bill was juried into AND won an award! The kids were such amazing troopers! It was a very long day and after we arrived home that night (around 10:30) we made them clean out the van and put everything away so Bill and I would be ready to leave early the next morning for the Zionsville Paintout.Bill got up on just a few hours sleep and set out on the garden tour that artists were welcome to attend and paint at. He did not only one amazing piece, but two! The juror for the show was Todd Reifers (click on his name to see his stuff...he was a major winner at the IHA show!)
It was a wonderful and exhausting weekend. Thanks for enduring all the pics, I had a hard time deciding what to post!

Looks like a wonderful trip! You've made me yearn for a trip to Brown County.
First of all, congratulations to Bill for his awards! That is awesome!!
Secondly, I love family camping trips. Go Danni! What a great hiker she is. I love the picture of all of you sitting on the steps/trail. That would be great for a Christmas card. I love the picture of Enoch crawling out of the tent too. What a cutie.
Looks like you guys had a great trip!
Great job Bill!
I love all the pictures from camping, I'm glad the trip turned out even with the car trouble.
We had those fire danger signs in Idaho too. They were only green in the middle of winter with snow on the ground.
I'm always amazed at how digital pictures just pile up.
So fun! What a great family trip!!! I love photos. Honestly, I think that's one of my favorite parts of postings (which I'm sure is obvious when it comes to my own blog!). Congrats to Bill!
You guys are such a fun family! The pictures made me a teensy jealous of all your greenery. What a busy weekend. We went camping with only one small little girl and I am pooped!
