Farmer's market

The bell that 'dings' the opening of the farmer's market cracks at 8:00 am on the dot. I'm not too worried about being there at the bell for the items I want...yet. As the summer progresses I'll have to be there earlier and earlier to beat the crowds. If you live in Muncie and have not yet sampled the experience of the Minnetrista Farmer's Market -SHAME! You're missing out. I usually have a dog, a husband, and a child or 2 (or 7) with me. Unless I see something that I know I want I make my rounds and check everything our first. I carry the amount of money I plan to spend, so I like to get the best deals and prioritize my shopping.

Farm fresh eggs are always a must.
I got lucky and got large for $2.75 a dozen!

Raw honey is a staple. Our normal 'honey guy' wasn't there today, but I really like "Prairie Blossom Bee Farm", and put an order for a gallon.
It's strawberry season and I could eat those babies all day long, there really is nothing like fresh strawberries!

Of course the change gets to be used for a treat for the walk home, today Harrison and Aurora got PB fudge and a no bake cookie, split 4 ways it's the perfect treat without overdoing it:-)

Bill said I'm going to get the reputation for being the "Dr. Ruth" of Mormon bloggers. I assume you aren't commenting because you just need to think about things for awhile, not because you're offended!
Also- Hilary Weeks posted our pic on her blog:-) http://hilaryweeks.com/blog/

Farmers Markets are the best! Not only are you helping the local farmers, but you're also getting really fresh produce and goods. Sounds like your first visit was a pretty successful one. Great Saturday activity!
