Egg Rolls and Rhubarb Pie

I mentioned that at the farmer's market we snagged some rhubarb, so Harrison cut it up for me and I threw it into some pastry. I happened to have some egg roll wrappers left over from a meal awhile ago and enough veggies to cut up to make a pretty good filling. As I was preparing the filling I was pulled away, leaving Harrison, Tawny and her friend to finish up for me.
I came back to a steaming plate heaping full of egg rolls. What a wonderful blessing to have kids who can prepare a meal!
We have often had visitors come over and eat food they've never tasted before, such as tonight, Tawny's friends had never had egg rolls or rhubarb pie. She liked the egg rolls, not a fan of the pie. But something interesting happened last night, Tawny went to a friends house and had new food for her.... bologna on white bread with Miracle Whip!

We love your egg rolls. Bologna is totally not a favorite!! How lucky your kids' future companions will be when they have these delicious meals! Good job mom!
